In June 2006, MCC launched an audio description service which provides visually impaired spectators with ball-by-ball commentary of matches at Lord’s.
For all international matches, matches involving Middlesex and The Hundred, commentary is provided by BBC. On several other match days, MCC provides its own commentary service.
Headsets are available from the Head Steward's Office (located at the back of the Mound Stand). The headsets fit over a standard hearing aid.
Spectators visiting Lord's on an international match day are advised to book a headset to ensure availability. Please get in touch with the Head Steward’s Office: 020 7616 8590.

MCC has partnered with Picturepath to help people with special educational needs to visit Lord’s.
The free Picturepath app allows visitors to create bespoke visual timelines using images from around the Ground, enabling them to see, plan and prepare for each stage of their matchday visit.
Picturepath's ‘Visit with Picturepath’ feature has been designed to help fans with additional support needs, such as autism, who may struggle in heightened sensory environments.
The app aims to reduce sensory stress and anxiety and create a more welcoming and inclusive experience for all.

MCC has introduced a Sensory Room to help people that have sensory processing disorders such as autism and dyspraxia.
Those with sensory disorders can quickly become overwhelmed and find a busy sports ground environment too stressful. This will often cause the person and their carer to leave or, in most cases, not feel that watching live cricket is possible.
The room is designed to create a safe and calming environment for its users, regardless of age. The suite has a maximum occupancy of six at a time and is available on a come-and-go/first-come, first-serve basis.
Those wishing to use the Sensory Room should contact the nearest steward or volunteer, who will guide them to the room.
For persons living with dementia, and their carers, a visitor pack is available from the Head Steward's Office.
This pack contains useful information, meeting points, a place to store tickets and a simple ground map. This can be collected on the day or reserved in advance by calling 020 7616 8590.
Many of our front-line staff and all of our 'Happy to Help' volunteers are trained to support people with Dementia; the majority of our volunteers are also Dementia Friends.
