After Day One was washed out due to heavy rain, conditions perfectly suited Anderson’s style of swing causing the tourists to be down 15-3 after 8.3 overs.
Anderson continued to cause havoc within the Indian batting line-up, dismissing Ajinkya Rahane and Kuldeep Yadav before finally sealing his five-wicket haul – the 26th of his Test career - by trapping Ishant Sharma LBW as India finished their innings with only 107 on the board.
Anderson went on to claim his 100th Test wicket at Lord’s during the second innings to help England seal a comfortable victory at the Home of Cricket, winning by an innings and 159 runs.
