The innings is part of a record at Lord's, as his stand of 370 along with Denis Compton - who scored 208 - is the highest partnership at the Ground to date.
Batting at three, Edrich entered the crease with England 75-1 before Compton arrived next with the score reading 96-2.
By the time Edrich departed, England had managed to reach a tally of 466-3.
Edrich's innings lasted 361 minutes, hitting 26 fours and one six with the hosts declaring their first innings total with a score of 554/8.
That innings total would prove pivotal in securing victory for England as they would go on to comfortably win by 10 wickets.
Compton and Edrich now forever have their names remembered at Lord's, with the Ground naming two of its Stands after the duo, which sit either side of the J.P. Morgan Media Centre.
