Despite the green wicket at Lord's, Pakistan captain Azhar Ali opted to bat first after winning the toss.
It would quickly prove to be an unwise move as Chris Woakes and Mark Wood tore into the tourists' top order, to leave Pakistan 2-3.
However, Ahmed stepped up for his side, with some delightful batting that saw him reach a score of 105 off 130 balls, with a total of six fours.
The innings by Ahmed helped Pakistan to a score of 251 but it still proved to be a low total in the end, as England won the match by four wickets in the 48th over of their innings.
