Sharma claimed his first wicket when he clean-bowled Ian Bell, who departed for just one run.
It was the start of a relentless spell of bowling by Sharma who went on to claim the wickets of Sir Alastair Cook, Moeen Ali, Matt Prior and Ben Stokes to seal his spot on the Honours Boards.
