I.J.L. Trott 226 v BangladeshBack to boards

During Bangladesh’s second-ever visit to Lord’s, Jonathan Trott’s superb knock of 226 managed to secure his first spot on the Honours Boards in an innings that quickly established England’s dominance during the Test.

After Alastair Cook lost his wicket for seven, Trott, batting at three, put on a fine partnership with opener Andrew Strauss of 181 to help build the England innings.

After Strauss’ departure, Trott continued to control England’s score before finally being dismissed for 226 with Imrul Kayes catching off the bowling of Shahadat Hossain.

The former Warwickshire batsman’s 226 came after 349 balls with 20 fours scored during the innings.

England went to win the match comfortably by eight wickets.
