New Zealand on the back of a brilliant 142 of 255 balls from Martin Crowe and half- century contributions from Shane Thompson and Nash ended their innings on 476. England were bowled out for 281 in their first innings, thanks to an incredible spell of 6-76 of his 25 overs from Nash, getting the wickets of Alec Stewart, Graham Gooch, Robin Smith, Angus Fraser, Paul Taylor and Peter Such.
Just when you thought Nash was done, he would gone on to get figures of 5-93 in the fourth innings of the match after England were put into bat with New Zealand declaring on 211-5 in the third innings.
The match ended in a draw with England ending on 254-8 with Alec Stewart scoring a 119 of 229 balls and helping England save the Test match. Nash was declared Man of the Match.
