The Barclays Media Centre

An iconic venue suitable for a range of events

Since opening in 1999, the Barclays Media Centre has become one of the most iconic and recognisable buildings within sport. Its unique design won eight architectural awards, including the RIBA Stirling Prize for architecture – when it became the first sporting building to win the coveted award.

As the world’s only single-shell aluminium building, this futuristic pod was an extraordinary engineering feat achieved through the precision of shipbuilders and provides some of the best panoramic views of the Ground.

Allowing you to walk in the footsteps of legendary broadcasters and journalists, the Barclays Media Centre provides an impressive venue for a range of events, and is entirely accessible despite its elevated position.

Meetings/Conferences

The main area of the Media Centre, used by journalists to observe matches as they put together their reports, doubles up to be a great space for lecture style meetings and conferences which can accommodate up to 70 people.

Drinks Reception

Directly opposite from the famous Lord’s Pavilion, the Media Centre offers perhaps some of the finest views in sport, making it a memorable venue for a drinks reception for up to 100 people.
